I discovered in a cloud of doubt what I knew all along. I was so washed out I started to erode and what was left was a skeleton. It takes so long, long, long to wear you thin. I locked myself out of our own home All the time I held the key. Winds that were blowing weren't at my back when all I needed was to change my tack. It takes so long, long, long to get you back. I'll just have to wait. To end in discord wasn't my intent there's a future we have not met. It takes so long, long, long - it wears you down. It takes so long, long, long to admit I'm wrong. And I'll just have to wait.

Taken Flight 05:11
fading out of view in the distance just a speck of light caught my eye' And I could not let go I could not forget. you burned a hole in my memory. --------------------------------------- Now I know what it means to be on my own every night In dreams you ask why the tears? But you have already taken flight. --------------------------------------- The scent of grass on the breeze Sent my thoughts to stir Of time fallen down in the well And feeling vunerable and it hurt like hell --------------------------------------- After all you were just passing by. And you've had your stay You'd gone on to stretch your legs Where there's room enough for you and so quiet too.

IIf I can feel that there's love and that's all that I need. I believe we can be good - if we try to try There must be something out there that's higher. but not here. not here. not now. You don't need to feel low. to be lost like I am. You don't need to feel eyes upon you I know not to stare. You say you dont need nothing else in this life. You don't need anything else to make this right. 'cause it's right here, right here. right in front of your face. There's a place in your smile were I stay You can't ask me to leave I could never go away. I know some times I'm a little hard to reach. Some things you learn and some things you teach. Its breaking what's fragile in you. And you need love.

It's Over 03:19
It's over. Decide Know why you cry. It's over. All those years, to begin again so cautious. Decide what to do with All those plans. Some things don't work out all that well. You say you don't know why But I think you do. Was it anything else but me and you?

Anywhere But Here. I want to live in the old great plains and reap the the fruit of the harvest again I want stand in the tall, tall grass where clouds build fast and they aint your friends I want to live in the old great plains Anywhere but here. Anywhere but here - I wanna go. Anywhere but here. I want to see where the river bends rowing out to the narrow ends on the banks of that distant land. Build a house under six feet of sand. Don't you let it all wash away. Don't you let rains fall hard I want to be where the rocket lands the milky way - in a grain of sand. Those starry eyes that I see at night Staring down from the greatest height. I can't stay in the milky way But I can't live here no more. I want to fly to the moon above and settle down with my one true love I'll be stepping in weightless dreams to find out what life there means. Can I hitch a ride with you We'll leave just us two. Anywhere but here - I wanna go. Anywhere but here. Anywhere but here - I wanna know. Anywhere but here.

Never automatic anymore. =========================== What you are is wasted Air no need to be near When conscience thoughts are far. Dressed alike. cog and spoke. filling up with smoke Trailing on behind. Imitation - (cough cough) Confrontation - turns me off Alienation - what's the point Frustration - making noise but i'm never automatic anymore. Trudge ahead With an eye to the ground It's happiness you've found. You've never had to beg. the old tick tock hands take a beating another lap behind the leader You Should've cashed your stock. Imitation - (cough cough) Confrontation - turns me off Alienation - what's the point Frustration - making noise but i'm never automatic anymore.

Lay Down Your Arms Helen of Troy She made love then she made war And launched a thousand ships at my door Her myth and secrets kept buried deep kidnapped from her youth too sad to weep Will you Lay down? Lay down your arms Lay down your arms and Let me in put down your guard put down your guard. sent me sailing across the sea Are you lonely and helpless or just reckless treachery. She is The shining one who Carried the torch but what lies in the shadow of your wooden horse? Filled with spite and loathing for herself hanging on a tree - a forbidden wealth Her courage and character that were not so strong She wonders she could have caused such wrong.

It's Hard to Lie Inside Look right in the mirror eyes don't make it easy to see how much I don't want to be. Don't have to tell me I want to write it in a scar how f#@%ing happy you are. When will the pain let up what can we tell ourselves It's hard to lie inside. Fade out in the morning when we're clean as dew drops and feel the way outside yourself. Glass that's looking though you hollow and abusive. It's constant interruption to your smile.

Listen (Are You Listening to Your Heart) Is there a struggle in your mind - a blank feeling in your soul - an emptiness I know - a restless stirring in your soul? Oh you're just full of noise. Oh now, you're just full of noise. You listen. Are you you listening to your heart? Is there some pressure underneath - a spot that makes you feel so weak - a guiding anxiety - a hole you're digging out? Carve yourself some space. Oh now carve yourself some space. Don't forget when you look within the pulse the electricity - the sandstorm in the desert - the beacon on the rocky shore is inside your chest. Rocky shore is inside your chest. You listen. Are you you listening to your heart?
